Join a growing, innovative, highly technological company that offers the world’s first On Demand Water Heaters on the market. Essency is an innovator looking for qualified individuals to fill the Water Heater Technical Engineer position.

Open to remote or in person work, you would be responsible for assisting incoming callers and troubleshooting problems start to finish.

Education

• 4-year degree, Engineering, Manufacturing, or Management degree preferred
• 10-15 years’ experience preferred, 5-10 years accepted with preferred degree

Qualifications

• 10-15 years combined experience in Technical Support, Engineering, Customer Service, Outside/Inside Sales, Operations, Logistics at a water heating Applicance manufacturer.
• Prefer mechanically inclined individuals with previous plumbing (especially water heating) or electrical experience.
• Previous Call Center experience.
• Trade experience is a plus.
• Requires an understanding of the design, function, installation, and repair of water heaters.
• Preferred understanding of combustion and the water heater environment.

  • National Electrical Codes
  • National Building Codes
  • ASME Standards
• Demonstrated proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office as well as other computer applications. HubSpot knowledge is a plus.
• Up to 40% travel required, typically around 10-20%
• 40-hour M-F schedule, typically between 8:00am-5:00pm, can change as needed.
